Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes an externship in a clinical setting
• Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the six month of hire
• Current certification as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required
• One year previous work experience in a medical office, preferred

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a medical office setting
• Skills in customer service and effective communication
• Ability to interpret information and identify each patient's requirement for care relative to his/her age specific need

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient education
• Perform vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure smooth clinic flow
• Deliver empathetic support to patients throughout their care journey
