About The Position

Inizio Engage has partnered with Apellis Pharmaceuticals, combining courageous science and compassion to develop life-changing medicines for some of the most challenging diseases patients face. We are seeking a high-performing Regional Field Trainer (Eye Care). This role combines individual sales responsibility with field-based coaching and development, supporting Territory Account Managers in delivering effective retinal disease state and product education to optometrists and ophthalmologists. Serve as a field-based coach and mentor to Territory Account Managers, providing ongoing feedback and development Conduct ride-alongs and field visits to assess performance and identify coaching opportunities Support onboarding and training of new hires, including product, disease state, and selling skills development Deliver field-based training sessions, workshops, and team meetings Model effective selling behaviors through direct customer engagement with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and office staff Maintain ownership of a territory and execute against sales goals and business plans Host speaker programs and marketing symposiums and represent Apellis at state association congress meetings Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans Ensure consistent execution of brand strategy, messaging, and compliance standards across the region Collaborate closely with internal business partners to share insights and drive overall team success What do you need for this position? Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience Specialty sales experience preferred Previous leadership, coaching, or training experience a plus Demonstrated track record of sales success Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills Ability to influence without direct authority and lead by example Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to travel frequently within the region, including overnight travel About Inizio Engage Inizio Engage is a strategic, commercial, and creative engagement partner that specializes in healthcare. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
