About The Position

As a Regional Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and support for their copiers, printers, and mailing equipment. This position offers the opportunity to travel daily to various customer sites within Lexington, KY, and surrounding counties, making each day unique and engaging.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 1 year of field service experience, working onsite for customers.
  • Technical Skills: Basic IT and networking skills, including installing printer drivers, troubleshooting network connectivity, and working with IP addresses.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read technical service manuals and diagrams to troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage trouble tickets and coordinate work tasks with dispatch.
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to move and transport equipment using hand carts, dollies, and vans.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience with copiers or mailing equipment, including corrective maintenance (installation-only experience is not sufficient).
  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with mid-level copiers (45-65ppm) and Sharp or Toshiba copiers.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with mailing systems is a plus, though training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Onsite Service: Enjoy the variety of daily travel to businesses in Louisville, KY, and surrounding areas, where you'll provide installation, user training, and software configurations for printing and mailing equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Showcase your problem-solving skills by diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, including error codes, connectivity problems, and mechanical failures.
  • Mechanical Repairs: Utilize your technical expertise to perform mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on copiers, printers, and mailing equipment.
  • Software Configuration: Leverage mailing software to configure jobs, troubleshoot issues, and train end-users, enhancing their productivity.
  • Equipment Delivery: Take pride in delivering and setting up equipment using company vehicles, ensuring smooth operations for our customers.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of the curve with ongoing training (online or in-classroom) to keep up with industry best practices and technologies.
