About The Position

Our Facility Maintenance team is responsible for: keeping our clubs clean, well maintained and safe; making sure all mechanical systems are working properly; and providing a positive experience for our members and guests. No two days will be the same, and you’ll likely experience a variety of slightly different challenges each day in a high-energy, health club environment. A positive attitude is a plus.

Requirements

  • Two-year college degree in related field preferred
  • Seven to ten years HVAC repair and building maintenance experience
  • Certified Pool Operator
  • Universal CFC license
  • State boiler, pressure vessel operating license

Responsibilities

  • Ensures safety of multiple buildings, staff and members by ensuring fire and alarm protection devices are to the standards of local & state regulations and building codes
  • Performs inspections of repairs, maintenance of HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical systems and recreational pools
  • Verifies chemistry and temperature control checks of recreational pools to comply with state, local and company requirements
  • Responds to and prioritizes repair requests, responds immediately to emergency repairs
  • Supervises, trains, develops, and assesses facility engineers to ensure continuous growth through orientations, direction, and feedback
  • Recruits and interviews for additions to staff and makes hiring and promotion recommendations
  • Coaches and counsels staff as needed
  • Ensures all CMMS activity is being accurately maintained and utilized
  • Reports activity of all clubs to Facilities Engineering Department
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
