About The Position

As a CBRE Regional Facilities Manager, you'll manage a large region of commercial offices, clinics and other administrative sites. Managing small soft service projects and the day-to-day functions of the team responsible for building operations and maintenance of facilities within the region. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

Requirements

  • Must live in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Excellent leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, overseeing their training and development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
  • Coordinate and manage the daily activities of the team, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Set and monitor deadlines for staff and departmental goals.
  • Offer mentorship and coaching as necessary.
  • Manage 50-60 small-scale facilities projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints, and maintaining project scope and quality.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships effectively.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses for projects.
  • Conduct quarterly business review meetings with clients, including presentations on project status and progress.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to secure project approvals.
  • Oversee large-scale capital projects, managing operating budgets and tracking variances.
  • Travel at least 25% within the designated Midwestern United States region.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients through regular meetings to discuss regional facilities' performance.
  • Report on property profiles, emergency preparedness plans, site inspections, facility audits, and related activities.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Establish strategic facility management objectives for clients, including generating capital project proposals, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Conduct periodic facility inspections to prepare for projects and closeouts, ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
