The Regional Design Manager at 84 Lumber Company plays a crucial role in leading and supporting the design departments across the region. This position focuses on establishing and maintaining design standards, providing professional guidance to Design Managers, and ensuring that all design-related needs of the company are met efficiently. The role also involves training, development, and fostering positive relationships within the design teams.

Establish, implement, and maintain regional Design Standards
Ensure company standards are met and sustained
Coordinate plant design needs and recruitment with Regional and Area Managers
Responsible for regional design training and development
Provide professional leadership and guidance to the Design Managers
Conduct a weekly Design Managers call and monthly Designer update call
Promote and maintain positive relationships with Design Managers and Designers through personal interaction
Assist and support the design efforts in ensuring accuracy, productivity, optimization, and oversight
Ensure continuous improvement on the utilization and maximization of the Design software
Act as Vendor Liaison to ensure maximum productivity from software and designer implementation

Components design experience plus managerial experience or equivalent combination of design and managerial experience
Ability to read architectural plans to create Roof and Floor truss, and Wall Panel placement layouts
Familiarity with MiTek, BC Framer, and iStruct software
Proficient in Microsoft Software
Strong problem-solving skills, including data collection and analysis
