The Regional Event Manager at Abigail Kirsch is responsible for overseeing event service staff and ensuring high standards of service for events across various venues. This role involves supporting the Directors of Event Services and Operations, managing day-to-day operational issues, and promoting the company's culture and mission. The manager will work closely with culinary and service teams to enhance guest satisfaction and profitability in event execution.

  • Support the development of service models for new venues and events.
  • Run events at assigned AK OP & CCG NY venues/locations.
  • Oversee setup and breakdown of FOH and BOH event spaces.
  • Conduct walk-throughs of event spaces to support planning and production.
  • Check in rentals and troubleshoot rental order issues.
  • Coordinate with clients and service teams on event timing.
  • Monitor events to ensure profitable, high-level service delivery.
  • Document and follow up on notable incidents at events accurately.
  • Maintain and improve standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for FOH staff.
  • Work with Sales & Account Managers to resolve event-specific service issues.
  • Monitor beverage controls at events.
  • Assist in hiring and scheduling new associates.
  • Coach, counsel, and conduct performance evaluations of staff.
  • Assist in writing and conducting staffing evaluations and reviews.
  • Develop and train staff, acting as a resource for them.
  • Recommend or conduct disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Create and distribute event paperwork such as captain's folders and assignment guides.
  • Enter timesheets into Kronos for review by the Director of Event Services.
  • Maintain and update associate wage and personal information.
  • Attend and participate in weekly Ops meetings and training sessions.
  • Minimum 2 years of event/banquet or operations management experience in a high-volume hospitality establishment.
  • Prior management event execution experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a must.
  • Knowledge of floor and room diagrams software is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proven organizational skills and proactive problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with associates, management, clients, and vendors.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate business levels.
  • Experience in high-quality hotel or catering environments.
  • Familiarity with event planning software.
