About The Position

As Regional Environmental Manager, you will provide leadership on RHIM's environmental strategy across North America. This role is pivotal in mentoring and supporting locations to execute compliance programs, share best practices, and implement policies that protect our people, communities, and planet. You will partner with corporate and organizational leadership to develop short- and long-term strategies that achieve total compliance management and demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental excellence. This position requires 70-80% travel across North America to support multiple sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive environmental experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) certification required.
  • Ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; comfortable working in virtual environments with remote teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and online platforms for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs to meet strategic environmental goals across multiple projects in North America.
  • Drive energy management and sustainability strategies, including benchmarking and assessment of energy and water consumption metrics.
  • Oversee environmental permitting and reporting requirements (Title V, Stormwater, NPDES, TRI/Form R, Tier II, Residual Waste Landfill Annual Operations Report, etc.).
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with local laws, jurisdictional requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Conduct gap analyses and benchmark internally and externally to develop standardized environmental systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Represent RHIM in industry forums and communicate regulatory changes across the business.
  • Mentor designated employees across North America, ensuring capability to implement RHIM's policies and achieve high standards of environmental performance.
  • Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up related to EHS audits.
  • Prepare monthly data reports, resolve data accuracy issues, and provide regular updates on environmental and energy goals.
