About The Position

Arxada is looking for a Regional EHSS/Process Safety Manager located in our Conley, GA office. This position will be responsible for participating and leading in the development and execution of environmental, health, safety and security programs/policies for the US Wood Technical and Manufacturing sites. This individual will be responsible for training and education of PSM requirements and auditing for compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science required
• At least 5-10 years of Safety & Environmental Compliance within Manufacturing Environment
• At least 5-10 years of Chemical Processing and Handling
• In-depth knowledge of EPA/OSHA requirements and PSM
• Lead emergency response situations – fire / medical / chemical /etc…
• Excellent presentation, organization and communication skills
• Ability to present, train and to engage with others

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for EHSS/PSM programs for US Wood Operations
• Establish an EHSS/PSM culture of continuous improvement and team accountability
• Primary EHSS/PSM responsibility for remote sites – Kalama, WA, Valparaiso, IN, Richmond, BC & Conley Technical Center, GA
• Administer, update or develop environmental, health and safety programs in compliance with OSHA, various state & Arxada policies or industry best practices
• Maintain required recordkeeping under OSHA, including but not limited to OSHA 300 Form, employee medical surveillance records, employee training records, EHSS program documentation and regulatory reports
• Ensure effective EHSS training programs and periodic review of Safety & Sustainability training matrix with each department
• Ensure compliance through behavioral observations, program audits and spot inspections and recommend safety equipment for the sites
• Responsible for evaluating and reporting on EHS performance indicators for sustainability reporting on a quarterly and annual basis
• Serves as the NA wood protection business continuity project manager to identify business critical processes and review of business continuity plan
• Manage Environmental Programs including Air Emissions Permit, Hazardous Waste Program, Universal Waste Program, Solid Waste & Recycling Program, Hazardous Material Security Planning, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan
