About The Position
Our team is seeking a Regional Environmental Manager (REM) who will lead and drive environmental operational excellence across Amazon BUs in the Great Lakes Region. The REM will be responsible for ensuring environmental strategy and operational tactics are executed by providing technical support for existing operations and future expansion across the US. This role is based at ORD10 and will be based in Chicago IL. The REM will travel up to 50%. You will report through the Amazon Environmental Assurance & Protection (EAP) team to partner with the operations leadership teams to execute company environmental procedures and ensure compliance with all applicable country/location specific Federal, State/Provincial and local laws & regulations. Utilizing risk assessments and compliance evaluations, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to minimize environmental impacts, and communicate and implement best practices.
