About The Position

If you are an established Engineer with personal initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for a Regional Engineer to ensure the safe and reliable operation of Enbridge's assets in the Midwest region as an engineering resource. What You Will Do: Provide engineering support to field personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of region facilities. Participate in Region safety program and station and construction site audits. Perform assigned duties during emergency response activities. National Incident Management System training will be provided, and the candidate will serve on the Incident Management team in assigned roles. Manage small operating and capital projects, developing and managing the project from the budget proposal stage through construction and closeout. Provide support to Project teams in developing and implementing larger projects in the region. Assist Pipeline Maintenance Services, Maintenance, and Operations on technical and compliance issues. Collaborate with technical standards group to ensure engineering standards, equipment specifications, and engineering construction specifications meet U.S. regulatory requirements and reflect U.S. practices. Establish working relationships with a cross section of partners within the company, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and services providers. Work with company subject matter experts to assist with the engineering needs of the region as well as continuously improve the company’s SME knowledgebase and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 4 years engineering experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
  • This includes the ability to effectively interact with peers, internal stakeholders and equipment vendors.
  • Strong written communications abilities, including good spelling and grammar are essential for this position.
