Regional EHS Manager

GFL EnvironmentalRaleigh, NC

About The Position

Are you the person who spots a trip hazard from a mile away? Do you believe that "Safety First" isn't just a slogan on a dusty poster, but a way of life? If you’re a high-energy safety professional who loves to lead, mentor, and ensure everyone goes home exactly the way they arrived, then GFL Environmental is looking for you! We are looking for a Regional EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager to be the strategic backbone of our safety culture across the Virginia and North Carolina region. You won’t just be enforcing rules; you’ll be building a movement. As our Regional EHS Manager, you are the ultimate protector of our people and our planet. You’ll be the "Safety North Star" for multiple facilities, ensuring we remain the gold standard in the solid waste industry. You’ll drive a "Safety First" mindset across several sites. You're a coach, an influencer, and they are not compliance officers. Conduct high-level site inspections and audits. You’ll identify risks before they become issues and turn "we’ve always done it this way" into "we’re doing it the safest way." When things go sideways, you’re the lead detective. You’ll perform root-cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions so we never make the same mistake twice. Stay ahead of the curve on OSHA, DOT, and local regulations. You ensure our facilities are not just compliant, but exemplary. Develop and deliver engaging, high-impact safety training programs that actually stick. No boring slide decks allowed!
