As a Regional EHS Coordinator, you will: Work with a group of client locations, including Commonwealth Campuses and research locations in Zone 2, to effectively implement environmental health and safety (EHS) services and programs. This position will support Penn State Altoona, Fayette, Harrisburg, Mont Alto and York Campuses as well as the Altoona Bus Research and Testing Center, CoAS Southeast Ag Research, CoAS Fruit Research and Dickinson Law Carlisle, and is subject to change based on assignment areas and operations. Evaluate chemical, biological and radiological, fire and general safety hazards as well as hazardous materials shipments and waste management practices; implement effective safe work practices in accordance with established departmental standards and advance the Penn State safety culture. Implement EHS services and programs with routine supervisory review of safe work practice recommendations for high hazard operations. Initiate and lead coordinated approaches to address the development and administration of EHS programs and procedures; provide continuous analysis, interpretation, resolution, implementation and monitoring of programs. Engage with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, to promote EHS best practices. Support the development, implementation and continual improvement of EHS programs for the University. This position is a hybrid position that includes a combination of work out of a home office, and in-person days at the campuses throughout the southeastern division of Pennsylvania.
