The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency. The Regional Clinical Educator for Behavioral Health (BH) provides educational services for areas of clinical expertise and patient care services to attain the Hospital’s objectives, mission and values established by corporate administration. Supports corporate-wide programs, policies and procedures are developed to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the BH patient. Assists with development and implementation of education plans for providing training in specialized clinical settings. The Clinical Educator for Behavioral Health provides hands on training for clinical staff to support the educational goals for the hospital. Implements an effective, ongoing training program to measure, assess and improve the quality of care, treatment and services delivered to all BH patients. The Clinical Educator for BH shall work collaboratively with the Nursing Directors to provide educational services to staff.

Requirements

  • Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.
  • Current BLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of 5 years behavioral health experience in an acute psychiatric setting
  • Minimum of 2 years previous educational experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to additional Prime Healthcare sites as needed

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • ANCC Certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health preferred
