About The Position

This position provides large case technical support, sales expertise and marketing presence as part of our Integrated Employee Benefits (IEB) /Key Accounts program. External Partnership Designated Sales leader for large market Absence RFP’s for the designated region. Development of key national and regional Producers in market. Including in-person and virtual product, capabilities, industry training, and client strategy meetings for the expansion of the Producer partnership. Primary Producer relationship management for key Absence Practice Leaders (National and Regional) in market. Support with National Account Management, where necessary, in development of ongoing client strategy for cross sales and renewals. Partner on client escalations in support of Producer relationship. Design and deliver training for producers/consultant training forums. Provide technical and product support to key producers as need. Internal Partnership Works with sales leadership and team to develop case specific strategy for large market proposal requests. Support Finance and Underwriting Departments in analyzing and interpret RFP data for fee and underwriting pricing adequacy of both middle market and large market opportunities. Supports (RFP) proposal evaluation and response through understanding customer needs and overall opportunity to the company. Supports custom response, where necessary to respond to unique needs of customer. Responsible for the engagement of the producer throughout the process. Design, develop, and facilitate team selling strategy for finalist presentations. Trainer, educator, and coach for all sales representatives in the region. Support in the design and delivery of “thought leadership” pieces in the market. Internal facilitator between departments for all large case prospects. Maintain and leverage Salesforce as the primary source of truth for sales team. All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in large group disability sales or sale support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge in absence management, FMLA, ADA and other compliance related services
  • Experience in managing complex Broker and Consultant relationships
  • Experience in development and delivery of market facing presentations
  • Ability to Travel: Up to 50%
