About The Position

The Regional Director is a senior leader within the Austin, Texas market, responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and client satisfaction across all Canteen business lines: Vending, MicroMarkets, Office Coffee & Pantry, Culinary, and Unattended Retail.This role oversees multi-site operations, leads a diverse team of District General Managers and Operations Managers, and ensures alignment with Canteen’s national strategy. The ideal candidate combines a strong retail and service mindset with proven experience managing complex, distributed operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of multi-site operations leadership.
  • Familiarity with warehousing, logistics, and fleet management systems.
  • Experience in vending, unattended retail, office coffee, or similar operations.
  • Proven success leading diverse, distributed teams across multiple markets.
  • Strong P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency with logistics, route, and inventory systems.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

  • Experience in contract-managed or route-based services.
  • Background in large-scale food, retail, or hospitality operations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct operations across all business lines, ensuring best-in-class execution in unattended retail, vending, office coffee, and refreshment services.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and operational excellence with a retail-focused approach.
  • Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive operational and financial goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve service quality, route efficiency, and technology integration.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to District Managers, Operations Managers, and frontline teams.
  • Promote accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and champion talent development and succession planning.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for key regional clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Partner with sales and client success teams to support growth, renewals, and onboarding.
  • Drive a customer-first culture focused on exceptional experiences and service reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and service enhancements across client portfolios.
  • Own full regional P&L and deliver on financial targets.
  • Analyze performance data to improve margins, productivity, and ROI.
  • Ensure contract compliance and operational scalability across accounts.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align regional execution with national strategy.
