About The Position

Avista Senior Living currently has an immediate opening for a Regional Director of Operations for our assisted living locations throughout the state of Utah. This position would ideally be based out of the SLC or Provo area. The role of a Regional Director of Operations would oversee a portfolio of 6-8 communities and would require travel across Utah. Avista Senior Living is a senior housing company, managing independent and assisted living communities throughout the western U.S. Our company brings together years of experience in the senior housing industry. We are passionate about our teams and the residents we serve. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervising all aspects of community operations for a portfolio of 6-8 assets, including but not limited to census, budget, resident relations, human resources, health services, food service, maintenance, accounting, and safety. You will work in collaboration with other Home Office personnel at Avista to direct resources on behalf of the communities you supervise.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel to the communities you oversee on a frequent basis.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in mulit-site senior living management supervision preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing , including but not limited to , sales skills, marketing and advertising strategy, census management, and public relations.
  • Knowledgeable in assisted living and memory care operations and the policies, and procedures involved.
  • Proven experience in good communications skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, lead and supervise Executive Directors on operational process improvement and quality assurance in all facets of community operations.
  • Support the initiatives of Avista Senior Living to ensure that operational objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and implement successful strategies regarding labor, occupancy, expenses, and quality of services, and review and redirect activity, if necessary.
  • Develop and manage corporate wide program services and systems.
  • Provide direction to Executive Directors for developing annual operational budgets and monitoring the critical financial, business and service deliverables on a daily basis.
  • Support the Executive Director's annual strategic planning sessions to consistently exceed expectations.
  • Coach and direct team development to foster leadership and professional growth for the leadership team and the respective team members.
  • Act as a liaison between Home Office team and the field operations team to ensure organizational alignment.
