As a Regional Director of Operations, you will have a hands-on, strategic role leading multiple branches across North Florida and Birmingham, Alabama. You will drive operational excellence, growth in residential electrical services, and a high-performing leadership culture. This role is ideal for someone with direct experience in residential electrical service, including both field service and customer-facing sales, combined with proven leadership skills in managing and developing teams of branch managers and field technicians. Your focus will include building and mentoring strong branch managers, ensuring top-quality customer experiences, achieving financial and operational goals, and executing the company’s vision across your region.

Requirements

  • Residential electrical service experience required, including customer-facing service and sales.
  • Prior experience in management or leadership roles, including leading large teams and other leaders.
  • Sharp critical thinking skills, including complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making.
  • Strong people-first, selfless, and servant-leader mentality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to shift priorities as needed.
  • Experience managing a budget and a strong operational financial acumen.
  • Goal-oriented with a desire to achieve company and personal goals and the ability to coach teams to success.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Support business plan development and create focus on company vision and goals.
  • Communicate with teams about direction and become the visionary force for employees.
  • Conduct regular department meetings with sales and service teams supporting branch managers.
  • Follow up on decisions made in team leadership meetings and ensure accountability and proper execution.
  • Meet regularly with branch managers to review operational objectives and performance goals.
  • Conduct regular branch visits and monitor branch performance, focusing on sales, profit, controllable expenses, and action plans.
  • Train and develop branch managers; create a culture of continuous coaching that drives manager growth and retention.
  • Ensure branch and technician teams perform at high quality with a focus on safety through training, follow-up, and leadership.
  • Facilitate resolution of issues or roadblocks between departments.
  • Take charge in high-priority crises and support operational problem-solving.
  • Perform “ride-alongs” with field technical and sales staff on a regular basis.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with department leaders to ensure continuity exists among team leaders and that goals are met or exceeded.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled conference calls with other organizational leaders and attend in-person management meetings as needed.
  • Manage and develop operations staff including hiring, terminating, training, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training classes.
  • Conduct branch visits regularly and complete branch visit checklists in coordination with branch managers.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
