As the Regional Director of Operations at Daniels Sharpsmart Inc, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving business operations within the Southwest region. This position requires a seasoned leader who is passionate about operational excellence and is capable of steering daily operations while guiding management teams to optimize performance. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, which is critical to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of operations in the region. Your responsibilities will include the oversight of daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives that align with the company's strategic goals. You will implement proactive and reactive safety measures to demonstrate continuous improvement in safety performance, ensuring that the region meets its key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, you will oversee all necessary compliance activities to ensure that regulatory requirements are strictly adhered to, safeguarding the company against potential liabilities. In this role, you will also be tasked with recruiting, training, and supporting operations managers, conducting regular performance appraisals to foster a culture of accountability and excellence. You will manage service and quality measures to ensure continuous improvement in service performance, focusing on metrics such as Delivery in Full, On Time (DIFOT) and Net Promoter Score (NPS). Collaboration with the sales team will be essential as you strategize growth targets and utilize the sales pipeline to plan for additional transfer stations, equipment upgrades, headcount additions, new treatment facilities, and building expansions. You will prepare and present financial reporting and analysis of operations and finances, deal with escalated customer issues, incident reports, and legal actions, and ensure that company standards and procedures are consistently followed. Furthermore, you will participate in the due diligence of potential acquisitions, either within or outside your assigned region, contributing to the company's growth and expansion efforts.
