The position at SSM Health is centered around the integration of the organization's mission, values, and vision into all activities across the health system. The individual in this role will work collaboratively with other regional and system Mission Integration staff to ensure that the mission is effectively communicated and embodied within the hospital leadership teams and other leadership groups. This includes facilitating formation experiences for leaders, physicians, and staff, as well as organizing Mission Days and ensuring that there is an active Mission Awareness Team in every entity. The role also emphasizes the importance of caring for caregivers, leading mission-related activities, celebrations, and prayers to foster a supportive environment. In addition to mission integration, the position involves providing support and supervision for Ethics Committees, ensuring that their practices align with best practices and the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. The individual will support decision-making processes throughout the ministries served by SSM Health, ensuring that ethical considerations are at the forefront of all actions. The role also encompasses responsibilities related to Pastoral Care, where the individual will assist in implementing the Pastoral Care strategy, support Pastoral Care staff, and collaborate with Mission Integration staff on evaluating services and developing best practices in pastoral care. Furthermore, the position requires collaboration with Regional Ministry Leadership and the System Vice President of Mission & Ethics to cultivate relationships with local parishes and faith communities, ensuring that the organization's mission is reflected in its community interactions.
