About The Position

HD Supply (a Home Depot company) is looking for a Regional Director of Distribution to lead our Northeast region, with direct leadership responsibility for 9 Distribution Centers. This role will be geographically based out of the Northeast and provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the network.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Strong understanding of business and management principles, leadership strategies, and multi-site strategic planning.
  • Deep knowledge of transportation operations, with experience guiding teams across all modes of transportation.
  • Proficiency in financial and economic principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis to drive business decisions.
  • Proven success in people leadership, team building, and communication across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex situations, identify key elements, and build persuasive arguments or solutions.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Budget management and P&L ownership experience.
  • Track record of leading change management initiatives, ideally through integrations or large-scale transformations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for staffing, organizing, and directing operations within multiple Distribution Centers to effectively manage the receipt, storage, selection, packaging, loading and shipping of products to multiple locations in B2B and/or traditional distribution capacity.
  • Act as strategic partner with logistics and supply chain management in establishing and adhering to operating budgets.
  • Provides effective leadership to multiple Distribution Centers to ensure efficient distribution operations and adherence to policy, procedure and process excellence.
  • Ensures well being of associates through compliance with all safety and Hazmat rules and regulations, legal regulations, and human resource policies.
  • Oversees carrier services and dedicated delivery processes.
  • Partners with support staff to ensure compliance with all DOT regulations.
  • Controls cost through process improvement initiatives, productivity of personnel, and efficient utilization of space and protection of stored materials.
  • Ensures protection and accuracy of inventory by adhering to all inventory control processes and procedures.
  • Develops annual operating budgets in support of the business unit's financial goals and manages P&L.
  • Responsible for talent management including selection, development, and performance management of direct and indirect reports.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels by effectively forecasting resources needed to meet service, financial and operational requirements.
