About The Position

The Regional Director of Clinical Education (RN) Consults with Facility level Directors of Clinical Education and Infection Preventionist staff in effort to move quality forward and reduce turnover. Requirements

  • Licensed RN in good standing and currently licensed by the State in which employed
  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels
  • Minimum three (3) years full-time nursing experience
  • Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification and be a CPR and TB instructor
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the field of nursing
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
  • Ability to travel extensively and work at facility locations with occasional overnights

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in post-acute healthcare, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Consult with the Clinical Educators and Infection Preventionist in planning programs to identify and meet education needs and regulatory requirements for their facilities.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation for training sessions and education to the DCE's and IP's.
  • Supports the DCE's and IP's to develop relationships with area healthcare community to support training initiatives as needed.
  • Consults with DCE's and IP's to develop and provide education for new initiatives, areas identified in plans of correction, changes in policies or regulatory requirements, and other programs as needed at local agency and regional levels.
  • Communicates effectively in person at site visits, external, virtual meetings, and online
  • Assist with improvement plans based on audits
  • Remain current on education and instructional methodologies, including applicable technology resources available.
  • Attend QAPI/Clinical meetings for assigned locations and contribute and respond to actionable items.
  • Participate in the process of new hires, skills fairs, and annual in-service training competencies.
  • Lead and implement company-wide clinical training initiatives
  • Provide Interim support as the DCE or IP for open positions within your assigned location or as needed within the organization
  • Hold exit conferences and written report of observations and recommendations of the facility following a visit
