About The Position

Bluegreen Vacations is one of the nation's leading vacation and leisure companies, and we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, results-driven Regional Director of Retail Marketing to lead multiple markets in the East Business Unit. This role will report to the VP of Retail Marketing and will lead, develop, and inspire a team of usually 2-4 Area Directors and 20-50 indirect reports. The Regional Director will drive alignment with the strategic goals set for the region and collaborate across departments to provide optimal experiences for internal and external customers. A key responsibility will be to build and retain a strong leadership team while creating a culture of high performance and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience required.
  • 4 years marketing management experience and 2 years sales experience required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the timeshare industry, OPC marketing or telemarketing sales is a plus.
  • Adept at using technology; working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to always represent the brand with integrity.
  • Adaptable and flexible to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Possess a dynamic personal presence with a strong ability to persuade, communicate and train associates.
  • Lead by example - on the floor selling with the managers and reps when visiting assigned stores.
  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and hold accountable a large team with specific sales goals.

  • Experience in the timeshare industry.
  • Experience in OPC marketing or telemarketing sales.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remarkable and memorable customer care when interacting with customers.
  • Establish and foster positive working relationships with the retail partner management teams in the region.
  • Develop and execute a plan to achieve and exceed short and long-term business and financial objectives across assigned market areas.
  • Responsible for operational execution including the work, performance, and behavior of Area Directors.
  • Drive profitability of stores by equipping Area Directors with the tools they need to meet or exceed budgetary responsibilities.
  • Review and analyze weekly production reports to identify trends, strengths, and opportunities.
  • Audit and uphold brand standards and dress and appearance guidelines in all assigned stores.
  • Build a high performing team and bench of talent to achieve, exceed, and sustain business results.
  • Proactively partner with Talent Acquisition to monitor staffing levels and develop plans to address turnover and retention.
  • Recruit Area Directors to maintain a fully staffed team based on approved headcount.
  • Deliver weekly one-on-one feedback conversations to provide coaching and meaningful feedback.
  • Identify development opportunities for direct reports to maximize success and future career growth.
  • Provide guidance to Area Directors on optimizing onboarding, training, coaching, and development.
  • Create a fun atmosphere that motivates and inspires the team.
  • Follow and uphold company policies and procedures with all associates.
  • Seek common ground and sources of agreement with diverse stakeholders.
  • Partner with VP and/or Human Resources on escalated coaching, counseling, and performance management.
  • Ensure payroll is accurately tracked and processed on time.
  • Submit compensation-related changes prior to deadlines.
  • Schedule, attend, and actively participate in team meetings and required trainings.
  • Oversee adherence to all hiring and employment regulations.
  • Assume Area Director responsibilities as needed.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Travel over 50%.
