About The Position

The Regional Director (RD) will lead the West Region team of experienced UltraCare Liaisons (UCLs) in promoting Dojolvi for the treatment of long chain fatty oxidation disorders (LCFAOD). This role is pivotal in advancing care within the Rare Disease Community and preparing for the potential commercialization of investigational novel gene therapies. The RD will establish a strong team culture aligned with Ultragenyx's values and ensure exceptional results through effective leadership and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in leading a team and driving growth businesses
  • Experience building high performing teams with a focus on culture and compliance
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive results
  • Ability to manage by influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent skills in developing business plans and optimizing regional potential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Rare disease experience preferred
  • Demonstrates high ethical and performance standards with all business contacts

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse and experienced Regional Team including recruiting, hiring, and retaining talented Commercial Field professionals
  • Coach the Regional Team to set, evaluate, and exceed performance expectations
  • Ensure the team is equipped to address new product launches, market requests, and customer service issues with urgency and accountability
  • Deliver education on disease and brands while developing strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs)
  • Create pull-through tactics and solutions to mitigate market access challenges in the Rare Disease Community
  • Analyze complex data to develop strategic and actionable business plans
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a culture of integrity and transparency
  • Drive change through influence and innovation
