About The Position

The Regional Director of Human Resources for Southwest Healthcare System is responsible for leading the HR strategy across multiple facilities in Southern California. This role involves providing HR leadership, direction, and technical expertise in various HR areas, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance. The director will collaborate with facility HR directors to oversee HR processes, develop training programs, and ensure competitive compensation practices while analyzing HR metrics to improve recruitment and retention strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Master's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • 8 years of progressively responsible management experience in a leadership role.
  • Multi-site experience is required.
  • Prior experience managing high volume full cycle recruitment processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Experience with EEOC and other regulatory agencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Lawson, Workday, ICIMS).
  • Strong critical thinking skills for making recommendations and decisions.
  • Experience with HR operations and employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the development and execution of human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan.
  • Oversee HR leadership, direction, and technical expertise in HR areas such as talent acquisition and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with facility HR Directors to develop and interpret HR policies and Employee Handbooks.
  • Assist with corporate legal matters related to external complaints and trending employee relations data.
  • Develop and present HR competency training programs and conduct regular site visits.
  • Partner with Facility HR and Corporate Compensation team to design and implement competitive pay programs.
  • Develop talent management and engagement strategies for the region.
  • Regularly review HR metrics to analyze recruitment, hiring, retention, and turnover.
  • Coordinate recruitment and interview processes to fill HR Director vacancies in the region.
