About The Position

This is a virtual position, and the candidate can reside anywhere within IL, IN or OH, MI and travel a minimum of 50-65% annually Sodexo Universities Segment is seeking a dynamic Regional Registered Dietitian provide account support to our Universities in the Midwest region. This role will report to the Senior Vice President. This role will include administration/oversight of wellness programs, strategic leadership, nutrition initiatives and portfolio management of our nutrition/wellness offerings. This position will require strong leadership ability, food service skills, clinical knowledge, and a desire to engage the campus populations in conversations around nutrition. At least 1-2 years of experience as a dietitian (preferably in a campus, K-12, or corporate setting) is preferred. Relocation Assistance Available

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR and licensed in state (where applicable);
  • At least two years of experience working as a dietitian;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a dietitian (preferably in a campus, K-12, or corporate setting) is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a higher education/University Campus account, corporate setting, or K-12/school environment;
  • District or national management experience, preferred;
  • Experience working in food service operations in a managerial capacity, preferred;

Responsibilities

  • Provide nutrition support for approximately 30 universities through collaborations with our executive team, operations, marketing, and university health centers;
  • Provide oversight of our special dining programs including MyZone, Simple Servings, Mindful, and Vegan offerings by conducting regular dining services audits and by training managers and members of the culinary team;
  • Serve as a campus liaison between students and dining services to accommodate to students’ dietary preferences and adapt offerings to reflect emerging trends in nutrition;
  • Responsible for menu development and implementation in resident dining services in partnership with regional culinary division;
  • Establish and/or implement standards for client satisfaction, and monitor performance against those standards
