The Regional Development Officer at Lutheran Family and Children's Services (LFCS) is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the organization's fundraising efforts to support its mission of empowering children and families. This position is designed for a mission-driven and energetic fundraising professional who will be responsible for soliciting, implementing, and collaborating on all development efforts related to major gift fundraising. The officer will work closely with the Development Director to strategize and execute tax credit programs and support fundraising initiatives during special events. In this role, the officer will manage and implement identification and engagement strategies for assigned major gift, tax credit, and planned giving donors and prospects. They will develop, maintain, and build strong relationships with donors, potential donors, participants, and special event attendees, directly soliciting support to further the organization's goals. The officer will also be tasked with identifying and researching local leads that could serve as potential partners, including local charities and companies that align with LFCS's values and mission. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for growth and partnership, contributing to the development of innovative fundraising ideas during quarterly statewide development team meetings. Additionally, the officer will provide assistance to the Development Director as needed, ensuring that all aspects of development, fundraising, and donor relations are effectively managed and executed.
