STV is seeking a Regional Development Director (RDD) to help shape the future of our Transportation South operating group. Reporting to the Operating Group President, this is a senior leadership role for a market‑shaping growth leader who translates corporate strategy into disciplined, regional execution. As Regional Development Director, you'll be a trusted advisor and challenger, driving intentional growth aligned with both regional and national initiatives. What You’ll Do Lead Regional Growth & Portfolio Strategy You are the key management leader responsible for the strategic growth of Transportation South. Build and maintain a balanced service and market portfolio, guiding investment decisions that support resilient, long‑term growth. Provide recommendations—grounded in market data and intelligence—for where and how to expand across current, new, and future opportunity markets and services. Translate Operating Group objectives into clear regional growth priorities and strategies. Orchestrate Marketing & Business Development You provide direct leadership and supervision to the regional marketing and business development teams. Lead, mentor, and develop regional marketing and BD teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Orchestrate marketing and business development activities to support priority growth initiatives and strategic pursuits. Develop and manage the annual regional BD and marketing budget, directing resources toward the highest‑return opportunities. Serve as an integral member of strategic pursuit teams to ensure the full capabilities of the organization are deployed to win. Guide Client Service & Strategic Accounts You play a visible, senior role in shaping client strategy and experience. Guide Client Service Teams and serve as an integral member of capstone and core client teams. Engage directly with key clients to understand needs, market trends, and STV’s brand perception. Champion a client‑centric approach by addressing feedback, strengthening relationships, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. Partnering, Teaming & Civic Engagement You strengthen STV’s market position through intentional relationships and visibility. Coordinate across areas and regions to develop partner and teaming strategies that leverage relationships and competitive advantage. Working with Area Managers, develop and promote a consistent, region‑wide civic and industry engagement plan. Represent STV externally with clients, industry partners, and government stakeholders. Enhance STV’s visibility through leadership and participation in local and state industry associations. Enterprise Alignment & M&A Awareness You operate with an enterprise mindset while maintaining strong regional focus. Collaborate with corporate leadership and the Chief Development Officer to align regional initiatives with firm‑wide strategy. Maintain regional awareness of M&A opportunities, trends, and relationship‑building, providing insight and recommendations rather than execution. Act as an ambassador for STV’s values and long‑term strategic direction. What You’ll Demonstrate Goal‑Oriented Leadership: Set ambitious, realistic growth targets and hold teams accountable through data‑driven KPIs. Strategic Thinking & Decision Making: Synthesize enterprise vision and regional objectives into informed growth and market expansion decisions. Communication: Communicate clearly and persuasively with executives, teams, clients, and external partners. Adaptability: Adjust strategy in response to changing market conditions to preserve portfolio balance and resilience. Strategic Alignment: Understand operational and financial realities while remaining consultative rather than operationally accountable. What You’ll Bring Degree‑qualified with 15+ years of progressive experience in transportation, infrastructure, or professional services. Experience shaping positioning & win strategies for alternative delivery models, including Design‑Build, CM/GC, Progressive Design‑Build, and P3/PPP. Proven accountability for top‑line revenue growth, growth targets, or major capital program outcomes. Deep industry relationships across the southern geography, including: DOTs, transit agencies, and municipalities Industry teaming partners and professional associations Civic and community leaders Hands‑on leadership experience in business development and marketing, including leading teams and aligning resources to strategic priorities. Executive presence as a trusted advisor, comfortable influencing senior leaders in complex, matrixed environments. Willingness to travel frequently across the Southeast, including Texas, Florida, the Carolinas, and the Washington, DC metro area.
