About The Position

Position Purpose: The Regional Credit Manager (RCM) at the Company is tasked with providing strategic oversight and management of accounts receivable operations, guiding a team of Area Credit Managers (ACMs) and District Credit Managers (DCMs) to ensure the effective extension and collection of credit across designated territories. This role involves direct management of a select portfolio of accounts, including the approval or decline of credit and job applications, and determination of credit line adjustments within authorized limits, while adhering to corporate credit policies. Positioned with advanced credit authority, the RCM plays a pivotal role in optimizing credit operations and fostering financial stability within the regional framework. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and management to a team of Assistant Credit Managers (ACMs) and District Credit Managers (DCMs), ensuring alignment with the Company's corporate objectives and credit policies. Directly oversee a designated portfolio of accounts, employing expert judgment to manage Accounts Receivable (AR) effectively, ensuring optimal cash flow and minimal delinquency rates. Utilize delegated credit authority to review and make high-stakes decisions on credit applications and job accounts, balancing risk and opportunity to meet regional financial goals. Continuously assess and adjust credit lines within authorized limits, responding promptly to changes in customer creditworthiness and market conditions to safeguard company assets. Implement company credit policies related to write-offs and collection placements, ensuring diligent compliance and proactive risk management across all managed territories. Collaborate across departments to streamline credit management processes, enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the AR and territories overseen by direct reports, synthesizing insights to inform strategic decisions and drive regional credit excellence. Foster a culture of high performance and professional development within the team through effective HR management, mentoring, and resource optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit management, including experience managing accounts receivable portfolios.
  • Proven track record of successfully overseeing teams in a decentralized structure.
  • Demonstrated ability in approving or declining credit applications and managing job accounts.
  • Experience in making decisions regarding credit line adjustments within assigned authority levels.
  • Proficiency in credit management software and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on risk assessment and credit evaluation.
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities, especially in high-stakes financial scenarios.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop team performance effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant credit policies and regulatory compliance standards.
