About The Position

The Regional Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing accounts receivable processes within assigned operating companies (OpCo's) at Performance Food Group. This role involves managing direct reports, addressing credit hold matters, and developing systems for effective collections. The position requires significant decision-making in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures while mitigating credit risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of recent credit and collection experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Business acumen with analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of demonstrated leadership skills, including supervisory experience with multiple direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate terms of sales and repayment plans for non-routine divisional collection matters.
  • Proactively identify accounts receivable risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports to ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Update training materials to maintain a high standard in the Credit Department.
  • Collaborate with the Cash Application Department for accurate cash posting and balancing.
  • Communicate with the OpCo President and Sales leadership to facilitate the sales process and manage risk.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with the OpCo President to review financial metrics related to bad debt and accounts receivable aging.
  • Participate in monthly Regional President calls as scheduled.
  • Supervise direct reports on litigation and bankruptcy cases to ensure compliance with deadlines and documentation.
  • Make recommendations on transferring accounts to the Collection Ledger and managing bad debt write-offs.
  • Stay informed about state and federal regulations affecting credit practices and collections.
  • Prepare recurring reports for Finance and senior management.
