This job posting provides a general description of the type of work performed at PCI. It is inclusive of an apprentice, journeyman, and foreman. It is not intended to be a complete position description. These positions are safety-sensitive.

Requirements

  • Must be an active member of the union in good standing (in non-right to work states).
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • May include supervisory responsibilities.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Prolonged periods standing and working outside.
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Work or removal of materials that have potential to create hazardous exposure (Abatement Worker).
  • Perform a variety of skilled carpentry work in the construction, installation, erection, maintenance, fabrication and repair of wooden structures and fixtures (Carpenter).
  • Application of fireproofing materials in new and existing commercial construction sites (Fireproofer).
  • Prepare work area by transporting needed tools and equipment from storage facility (Helper/Laborer/Trainee).
  • Set up a conventional paint pot and utilize air-assisted and airless paint systems (Painter).
  • Mix and prepare plastering/EIFS materials and install multi-step plaster systems (Plasterer).
  • Construction, fabrication, and installation of structural steel and iron components (Iron Worker).
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment (Millwright).
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment for construction tasks (Operator).
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and piping networks (Plumbing/Piping).
  • Installation, repair, and replacement of glass in various structures (Glazier).
  • Skilled construction, assembly, and repair of boilers and pressure vessels (Boilermaker).
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment (Electrical Workers).
  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs on buildings (Roofer).
  • Cutting, shaping, and installing various types of sheet metal (Sheet Metal).
  • Operating and driving trucks or other heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials (Teamster).
