About The Position

Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Hiring immediately for a Regional Controls Technician to support multiple locations. The position will be located in our Jersey City, NJ plant. This position will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of process control systems; provides support in executing plant-wide preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the latest electrical and electronic equipment. This individual has a keen eye to identify potential problems in an electrical design focused on continuous improvement and operational uptime.

Requirements

  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Experience with single and 3-phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 Volts
  • Coordination, communication and/or team problem solving between
  • Willingness to work overtime/other shifts if needed.
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) year degree or higher in Electrical Technology
  • Experience working in a paper / print / corrugate manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other PC-based production reporting systems applications
  • At least three (3) years industrial electrical repair and/or industrial maintenance experience
  • At least (5) years experience troubleshooting the following:-
  • Drives - Bosch, Rexroth, Indramat, Giddings & Lewis, Yaskawa, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Profibus, Reliance Automate platforms
  • Servo motors and possible electronic controls repairs
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's)
  • Ladder Logic, VFD's and motor control devices

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and circuits
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and program PLC terminals
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, control devices, circuits and components, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance routes
  • Availability to travel as needed (between 5-10%)
  • Maintain clean and orderly housekeeping standards in work areas
  • Work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participate in the safety program
