About The Position

PURPOSE The central purpose of a Regional Connector is to develop trustworthy relationships with ministry leaders in their region, especially those in CRC congregations and classes, in order to encourage, equip, and support local ministry by connecting them with denominational resources and other CRC ministry leaders. This is a part-time 18/hour week position that is eligible for hire in the following states: Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The CRCNA exhibits love for the diversity of the human family. Requirements

  • Able to respect and support the mission, vision, and values of the CRCNA.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in commonly used computer applications
  • Proven ability to plan and organize tasks and responsibilities including multitasking, setting priorities, and deadlines, etc.
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated, work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Knowledge of the region and its Christian Reformed congregations
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with educational, discipleship, and/or ministry leadership is required.
  • Access to transportation and the ability to travel throughout their region on a regular basis is necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a congregation, either on staff or as a regular volunteer, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with congregations, ministry leaders, and classes.
  • Assist with assessing ministry needs and opportunities encountered by ministry leaders, congregations, classes, and other ministry networks in their regions.
  • Identify, encourage, and support congregational and regional efforts related toThrive.
  • Host and facilitate regional events, workshops, cohorts, and other Thrive related gatherings in collaboration with other CRCNA regional and denominational staff.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with other CRCNA regional personnel who represent partner ministries that have the potential to impact their region.
  • As appropriate, contribute to the general well-being of congregations and classes in their region through speaking, teaching, writing, and other servant leadership activities that enhance the unity of the church.
  • Participate in and contribute to Thrive team meetings and broader team initiatives.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Ministry Leader - Regional Engagement.
