About the Role Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Regional Commercial Banking Officer to join the team in our Marketing Department. As a Regional Commercial Banking Officer, you will deliver a World Class Experience by developing, managing, and growing a sound and profitable loan portfolio over a sustained period of time. Expectation to spend available time in business development activity, building a pipeline, qualifying prospects, expanding relationships, and retaining customers. By utilizing strong product and market knowledge gained from related work experience, the incumbent is comfortable consulting with small to medium sized businesses, non-profit organizations and high net worth individuals. Overall responsibility for credit quality and production growth for the team while providing a World Class Customer Experience while partnering with the Loan Team Leaders, Bank Branch Managers and the Wealth Management Group. You will be located in Oxnard, CA with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule .

Requirements

  • A college degree in business or a closely related field required.
  • 5-8 years of similar or related experience in Business Banking and client management experience and supervisory experience.
  • Credit knowledge and experience required.
  • Experience in business and consumer lending preferred.
  • Experience in managing business banking clients preferred.
  • Experience in servicing high value clients preferred.
  • Preferred experience in managing a commercial loan portfolio, which is anticipated to grow to over 20-40 relationships and in excess of $100 million.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business partners to understand the client’s needs and apply the broad range of Montecito Bank & Trust’s financing and product solutions to meet their needs.
  • Proactively build relationships designed to retain and expand customer connection, develop new high-value relationships and increase the profitability of the portfolio.
  • Take applications, gather the necessary documentation, underwrite the facility, and see the transaction through to closing.
  • Source and develop prospects and potential clients and securing business banking service and product sales.
  • Maintain customer files, track sales records, monitor product usage and system operations; and resolve problems within given authority.
