About The Position

The Regional Client Care Manager at the American Red Cross is responsible for leading a volunteer-led team that provides assistance to families affected by disasters. This role involves becoming a subject matter expert in various disaster response services and requires regular deployment to disaster relief operations. The position emphasizes community engagement, volunteer empowerment, and disaster readiness, ensuring that the Red Cross can effectively respond to emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building and leading volunteer teams for social services programs.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team leaders.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Volunteer management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for disaster cycle services programming.
• Implement disaster cycle services activities within the assigned geographic area.
• Develop and support disaster volunteers who represent the communities they serve.
• Lead and coordinate community engagement efforts for disaster preparedness and response.
• Act as the Red Cross disaster subject matter expert within the assigned geographic area.
• Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations in alignment with the Disaster Cycle Services Concept of Operations.
