About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Regional CDL Class A Driver to ensure the safe and timely transportation of goods across designated regional routes. Drivers can start in Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, with routes running Fort Wayne → Indianapolis → Florence, KY. This is the ideal position for a Road Warrior in training, offering flexibility and regional travel. The day will start between 12 PM and 5 PM, and when the customer calls, we need to be ready to move. Drivers will primarily transport battery cores to warehouses with no-touch freight, ensuring efficiency and compliance with DOT regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional Class A driving experience.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background.
  • Valid Medical Card and FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse registration.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to DOT regulations.
  • Experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to schedule changes and unexpected delays.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with overnight stays in sleeper truck if Hours of Service (HOS) prohibit additional driving.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and respond promptly when customer calls.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles (sleeper truck).
  • Adhere to assigned schedules and routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Utilize electronic devices and maintain accurate ELD logs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure safe and efficient loading, transport, and unloading of goods (no-touch freight).
  • Uphold company standards of professionalism and customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
