About The Position
McKee Foods is seeking a Regional CDL A Company Driver to join our team at our Collegedale, TN location. This position involves covering a dedicated region consisting of the Central & Southeastern states. As a driver for McKee Foods, you will be part of a family-owned bakery that values respect and kindness, and you will help bring smiles to snack-lovers all over the country. The job offers a stable pay structure, with an average annual salary of $85,500, starting at $1,541 per week after initial training, which includes a delivery premium. Additionally, there is a pay increase after six months and the opportunity for extra trips to increase your weekly earnings. The schedule typically involves an average of 2.25 trips per week, covering approximately 1,890 miles weekly. Drivers can expect to have 2 to 4 days of home time each week, and they will always be off from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. The equipment used is newer and well-maintained by dedicated on-site fleet maintenance, ensuring a reliable driving experience. To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a current Class A CDL and have a minimum of 18 months of experience driving a tractor trailer. The role requires a willingness to drive as part of a team and the ability to unload trailers containing cases of snack cake products, which may involve regularly lifting up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain a tanker endorsement by their first day of employment.
