Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree (supply chain discipline is a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing preferably within a life sciences industry.
  • Demonstrated track-record of strong, effective negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge of purchase-to-pay (P2P) and order-to-cash (O2C) processes.
  • Knowledge of supply risk management and procurement performance metrics.
  • Ability to manage a category and work within a matrix, cross-functional international stakeholder environment.
  • Analytical skills to identify cost drivers, saving potential and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Execute Lab Product Solutions Procurement strategy for bio-analytics segment (cell & protein analysis).
  • Execute transfer of technology and localization.
  • Develop and manage cost-efficient and resilient supplier network for respective categories (e.g., Reagents, Chemicals, Mechanics, or Optical Components).
  • Translate product and manufacturing requirements into sourcing guidance for local replenishment.
  • Build and manage productive working relationships with key suppliers.
  • Contribute on new product development and introduction (NPI).
  • Continuously monitor and reduce material costs.
  • Identify, mitigate, and report external supply risks.
  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends, and best practices.
  • Support Sartorius programs regarding CSR, ESG and compliance.
  • Negotiate sourcing contracts General Purchasing Agreements (i.e., price models and terms & conditions).
  • Accelerate our supplier-base to best-in-class supplier performance and supplier delivery reliability.
