About The Position
We are looking for a Regional Category Buyer - Nested Maintenance Services to join our Procurement team in Houston, TX. Global Indirect Procurement (GPI) is responsible for purchasing technical goods and services for BASF. We understand the business needs, are close to our stakeholders, drive cost savings, innovation and sustainable practices by negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships. We are seeking a professional like you to join our Houston, TX, team and support the indirect procurement regional category of Nested Maintenance Services by sourcing services for all BASF business units throughout the United States and Canada. As a Regional Category Buyer you will manage source to pay activities (RFX), supporting the shared service center as needed, upholding BASF procurement policies and good fiscal principals, understanding category markets and working collaboratively with other procurement professionals and suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your business acumen, strong problem-solving skills, and your ability to lead cross functional and cross business unit teams. We will also look for you to exercise your ability to make and implement decisions with limited information.
