About the Job: The Regional Category Buyer is responsible for the regional procurement categories of CRM, Data/Analytics, and Martech for Opella. The Regional Category Buyer Marketing and Sales Procurement is responsible for supporting and executing procurement category strategy, partnering closely with the business to shape initiatives and drive key projects that advance Opella’s priorities. The ideal candidate brings expertise in CRM ecosystems to build sourcing strategies that balance innovation, cost, quality, and compliance. Success in the role requires strong collaboration with global leaders and close engagement with marketing and sales business partners and suppliers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance, Procurement/ Business Operations, Data Management, or Marketing.
  • A strong understanding of business analytics and tools
  • Hands-on experience in delivering savings initiatives with demand management levers
  • Agile, curious, and adaptable to the evolving needs of the business
  • Strong capability to manage business and interact with internal stakeholders, Suppliers, and managing a complex environment
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • The ability to hit the ground running, operate autonomously with a high level of drive and energy

Responsibilities

  • Translation and Execution of competitive, innovative long-term procurement category strategies that are: based on market intelligence: assessing risks and opportunities collaboratively built, fully aligned with the business delivering significant value
  • Ensure delivery to aligned targets
  • Support the development and implementation of new market innovation opportunities (e.g. new suppliers, new digital tools in the categories).
  • Collaborate closely with global category leads, regional business leadership, and finance
  • Local support and delivery of global category strategies
  • Creation and delivery of local category strategy where needed
  • Regional supplier relationship management and negotiations
  • Oversee KPIs and monitor supplier performance. Continuously drive for improvements in performance of the suppliers in all relevant areas of service level, costs, delivery, quality

  • Ensure compliance with master service agreements
  • Escalate / manage issues that may impact the global Marketing and Sales procurement category strategies
  • Ensure that risk management assessment and risk mitigation strategies are in place in close collaboration with the business
  • Business partner and support/guidance role to regional stakeholders
  • Deliver against sustainability and risk mitigation commitments
  • Facilitate and build collaborative Business Partnering across the Business Unit internally and across the supplier network for the category
