About The Position

The Regional Campaign Manager, Energy Markets & Transmission at NRDC will develop and execute advocacy strategies to promote clean energy policies, particularly focusing on offshore wind development along the East Coast. Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in legislative advocacy, government relations, or campaign management.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading advocacy campaigns and engaging stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex issues effectively.
  • Proven experience in managing internal processes, project teams, and budgets.
  • Ability to understand offshore wind energy, transmission infrastructure, and electricity markets in the U.S.

  • Experience in environmental advocacy or non-profit organizations.
  • Familiarity with the political landscape related to clean energy and environmental policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive campaign strategy to advance transmission policies for offshore wind and clean energy.
  • Collaborate with Program, Advocacy, and Communications partners, and offshore wind transmission coalitions.
  • Lead outreach and advocacy efforts to educate policymakers and the public about offshore wind transmission.
  • Manage a coalition of partners, including leading weekly calls and follow-ups.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and community groups.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to offshore wind transmission and provide analysis.
  • Prepare advocacy materials such as policy briefs and press releases.
  • Organize events and workshops to facilitate dialogue among stakeholders.
  • Manage campaign consultants and vendors as necessary.
  • Manage a campaign budget and develop workplans to achieve campaign goals.
