As Regional Business Development Director, you'll be the face of Christman in the region-championing our brand, building trusted relationships, and securing opportunities that align with our strengths and values. What You'll Do: You'll be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of business development in the north Texas region. That includes leading pursuits, forming high-impact partnerships, and ensuring we're consistently positioned as a preferred partner in target markets like healthcare, higher education, government, and commercial development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field of study.
  • 8+ years of relevant business development experience, preferably in the construction, A/E, or sub contractor.
  • Established connections in the Dallas-Fort Worth and a strong understanding of the regional construction landscape.
  • Proven leadership in pursuit strategy and client engagement, including success in positioning and winning complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to represent Christman with clients and community partners.
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset, with the ability to work across departments and leadership levels to drive results.

  • Our ideal candidate would have experience in markets such as healthcare, religious/cultural, historic preservation, K12, and municipal.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the region's business development strategy, with a focus on long-term growth and client relationships.
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities, building a robust pipeline aligned with our expertise and goals.
  • Cultivate deep relationships with clients, designers, consultants, and community leaders across north Texas.
  • Collaborate with internal teams-project executives, preconstruction, marketing, and leadership-to drive effective pursuits and support strategic go/no-go decisions.
  • Lead RFQ/RFP responses, interviews, and proposal development strategies that reflect Christman's brand and capabilities.
  • Represent Christman externally at networking events, conferences, and association meetings to enhance our visibility and connection to the market.
  • Stay on top of regional trends, emerging markets, and competitor activity to ensure our strategies are responsive and forward-thinking.
