Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development.
Experience leading a team of BDMs is preferred.
Willingness to obtain a resident P&C license.
Proven track record of achieving goals and driving business growth.
Strong understanding of insurance products and industry regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

Create and lead a team of State BDMs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distribution partners.
Monitor performance with a focus on new business production and renewal retention.
Collaborate with leadership to target growth areas and align state performance.
Meet or exceed target goals through proactive territory management.
Conduct regular performance assessment meetings and visits.
Analyze territory performance and provide updates to leadership.
Perform market research to identify trends in the competitive landscape.
Attend industry events and networking opportunities.
