About The Position

BSJ Corporations is looking for a Regional Director of Housing. The Regional Director provides leadership and oversight for multiple senior living communities, ensuring high-quality resident care, employee engagement, and strong financial performance This role is responsible for the strategic, financial, and clinical management of several assisted and independent living locations in the greater LaCrosse area. They ensure compliance with state regulations (DHS 89, DHS 105.14, and the Fair Housing Act), oversee facility managers, and maintain high standards of care and community across all locations. The Regional Director of Housing will also be relationship-driven to lead sales and marketing efforts. This role is responsible for driving occupancy through consultative sales, strategic community outreach, referral development, and exceptional family engagement.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of five years of leadership experience in long-term care or healthcare management, specifically with multi-site experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in senior living operations.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, financial acumen, marketing and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Community Outreach: Proactively engage with the local community and surrounding businesses to attract prospective tenants by selling both a home and peace of mind. Build and maintain strong referral networks with hospitals, discharge planners, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, geriatric care managers, elder law attorneys, and financial planners Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan Represent the community at local networking events and industry meetings Plan and host educational and promotional events (e.g., dementia education seminars, caregiver support groups, downsizing workshops)
  • Marketing: Work with the marketing coordinator to implement diverse marketing strategies to increase awareness of available apartments, build strong community relationships, and drive occupancy.
  • Operational Oversight: Managing day-to-day operations for multiple Als, ILs, and two adult day centers.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all facilities meet state licensing, safety, and fire code requirements.
  • Leadership: Supervising, mentoring, and evaluating Directors and clerical staff.
  • Financial Management: Developing and managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue and occupancy goals. Identify revenue opportunities, support marketing and sales initiatives, and monitor occupancy trends. Assist with budget development, track financial performance, and ensure accountability
  • Quality Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality improvement plans to ensure superior care for tenants and participants.
  • Tennant Relations: Managing move-ins/move-outs, resolving disputes, and handling complaints.
  • Operations & Maintenance: Scheduling repairs, conducting property inspections, and overseeing maintenance staff.
