About The Position

The Regional Administrative Assistant at Dialysis Clinic, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Area Operations Director by managing various administrative tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three to six months of related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence and ability to collaborate with care teams.
  • Ability to problem solve effectively.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Medical Record Practitioner for the satellite clinic, ensuring proper maintenance, security, storage, and destruction of patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Answers phone calls, forwards them to the appropriate person, or takes messages as needed.
  • Greets patients and visitors, directing them to their appropriate destinations.
  • Creates memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.
  • Maintains billing information for all in-center and transient patients, verifies patient insurance, and obtains pre-authorization when required.
  • Keys daily flow sheets, generates reports, balances charges, and checks entries for accuracy.
  • Assists Accounts Receivable personnel by notifying patients about delinquent accounts and in the collection of accounts as requested.
  • Completes log of incoming checks and cash.
  • Verifies patient status daily, including hospitalizations and missed treatments.
  • Prepares new patient packets for new admissions and transient patients.
  • Assists Nurse Manager, Area Operations Director, and clinical staff with clerical work as requested.
