About The Position
The Regional Accounting Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the financial activities of our managed properties within their assigned region. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with HUD, GAAP, and partner standards, and maintaining the financial integrity of our property portfolio. As the Regional Accounting Manager, you will lead a team of Staff Accountants and Accounts Payable staff, driving high performance and efficiency in all accounting functions. You will oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensure timely and accurate accruals, manage reserve draw approvals, oversee the accurate preparation and timely filing of audit and tax reports, and handle surplus cash calculations. Your expertise in property accounting, particularly in managing affordable housing, will be essential in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while meeting owner and partner expectations. A successful Regional Accounting Manager is both a strong leader and a hands-on problem solver who can navigate complex accounting workflows, audit requirements, and financial regulations. You are comfortable managing diverse teams and processes across multiple properties, utilizing our Property Management Accounting software (currently Yardi) to optimize financial data management. Your strategic mindset allows you to identify areas for improvement, implement effective solutions, and contribute to CCI Management’s broader financial goals. This role requires exceptional communication skills to effectively convey financial information to internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, investors, and property management teams. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence, ensuring that all financial operations within your region align with CCI’s standards and support the company’s continued growth and success.
