About The Position

Troon Customer Finance is a centralized team dedicated to delivering
high-quality, scalable financial services to Troon-managed facilities. Our

functions including full-cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and

The Regional Accounting Lead oversees accounting operations for a portfolio of
managed golf clubs, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance
with GAAP, and alignment with Troon’s internal standards. This role manages a
small team, supports strategic initiatives, and serves as a key liaison between
the Customer Finance team and field operations.

Requirements

• Leadership: Manages and develops a small team; provides coaching and oversight.
• Advanced Accounting Knowledge: Applies deep understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Strategic Awareness: Understands how business goals influence accounting priorities.
• Analytical Thinking: Identifies and resolves complex issues with minimal oversight.
• Process Expertise: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of departmental policies and workflows.
• Collaboration: Builds strong relationships with cross-functional teams and field leaders.
• Communication: Clearly conveys financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Familiarity with audit, tax, or compliance processes preferred.

Nice To Haves

• CPA preferred.
• Prior experience managing or mentoring staff strongly preferred.
• Experience with Jonas Club Management software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close processes and review deliverables including financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and reconciliations.
• Supervise and develop a small team of accountants, including training and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Troon’s internal controls and standard operating procedures.
• Support annual external audits and conduct internal audit fieldwork as needed.
• Assist operations teams with annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance and identify significant variances from budgeted results.
• Attend finance committee meetings and present financial insights as needed.
• Collaborate with operations leaders to align financial priorities with business goals.
• Lead accounting transitions for new properties and ensure smooth integration.
• Coordinate with other departments on accounting matters and policy adherence.
• Conduct periodic site visits to managed golf clubs.
