Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Three to Five years outside sales experience calling on the property & casualty claims industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Analytical and interpretative skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the organization's products and/or services within an assigned geographic area.
  • Generate sales leads for prospects/clients via telemarketing, social media, local marketing events, and direct contact with property claims adjusters and manager level professionals.
  • Engage potential clients interested in the organization's products and/or services.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain internal and external relationships/partnerships.
  • Facilitate the development of new partnerships in the company and remain involved in the implementation process.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of individual prospect operations targeting specific needs.
  • Ensure identification of expertise required addressing individual prospect requirements.
  • Utilize appropriate company resources to facilitate responses and pricing for RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
  • Develop and implement an annual sales plan including identification of potential client prospects.
  • Generate sales leads through direct communication via telemarketing, social media, and local marketing events.
  • Call on residential/commercial insurance claims adjusters & managers, attend various claims events, and network within the industry.
  • Pursue sales leads and respond to inquiries regarding products and/or services.
  • Maintain thorough daily call records in the contact management database or CRM.
  • Evaluate and interpret customer needs to expand client list.
  • Refer sales leads and customer feedback to appropriate contacts within the organization.
  • Coordinate and present at conferences and attend local claims association events.
  • Handle miscellaneous projects.
  • Achieve and exceed all monthly sales quotas & goals.
  • Identify new potential markets while managing an existing customer base.
