Expedient is seeking a driven Account Executive to join our team and sell industry-leading IT and cloud solutions to businesses throughout our Chicago, Illinois market. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who has a proven track record of B2B sales success, specifically with technology solutions such as Cloud Hosting, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Server Colocation, Managed Backups, and Disaster Recovery.

  • Identify, target, and generate new business opportunities in the Chicago area
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of leads and prospective clients
  • Consult with companies on their technology needs, confidently presenting Expedient's solutions
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure clients are fully supported throughout the sales process and beyond
  • Focus on prospecting, forecasting opportunities, pipeline development and closing deals based on individual and quarterly sales targets
  • Forecast future sales based on trends and observations and meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas
  • Develop, prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations while partnering with dedicated Solutions Architect
  • Partner with Lead Generation teams and Channel Partner teams to generate leads and turn them into Expedient clients
  • 8+ years of experience selling cloud solutions to businesses in the Chicago area AND the extended region
  • Successful methodology for prospecting and lead generation to grow the sales pipeline of new business
  • Demonstrated success in B2B technology sales, especially within IT services or cloud solutions
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new technology concepts and communicating value to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent relationship-building and consultative selling skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, and able to work well independently
  • Success in sales, consistently over achieving assigned quota
