About The Position

The Region Technician for the Northeast US at QUIKRETE Companies is an entry-level position focused on supporting operational tasks across 11 production facilities. The role involves a mix of technical responsibilities, including equipment maintenance, project planning, troubleshooting, and assisting plants with technical issues to enhance productivity. The technician will also be involved in scheduling maintenance programs and selecting new equipment, with a significant travel requirement within the Northeast US.

Requirements

• 2-year degree in Engineering Technology or extensive related work experience without a degree.
• Experience with material handling and storage, particularly dry bulk materials.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance related to batching and bagging processes.
• Strong desire to learn and willingness to travel 50-65% of the time.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in hands-on work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs).
• Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental compliance.
• Experience in specification writing and installation of new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work with plant staff to improve performance in equipment maintenance and operational efficiency.
• Plan, implement, and install projects to enhance cost efficiency and safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime and assist plants with technical issues.
• Schedule ongoing maintenance programs and utilize computerized maintenance management systems.
• Select and install replacement or new equipment.
